Blunt Polished Brass
A harmoniously balanced oval, BLUNT is pure, essential and confident. A classic yet refined knob with a sense of ease that will suit many spaces. The polished brass has a smooth mirrored finish and will develop a natural patina over time, the finish is light in colour when new and gets a darker deeper tone as it ages. Beautiful placed vertically on cabinets and horizontally on drawers. Works perfectly as a pair of two on long drawers.
Living Finishes
All our finishes are living finishes. Uncoated by design, they are meant to evolve over time through touch, everyday use and exposure to the environment. Changes in tone, patina, and surface are natural and intentional, allowing each piece to develop a character unique to the space it inhabits. Patina is not a defect, but an intentional part of the design. Like time-worn jewelry, our hardware records the passage of time and use. The pace and character of this transformation depends entirely on handling and the surrounding environment, with no fixed timeline.
Polished Brass begins bright and reflective and gradually deepens to a warmer, darker tone over time. With continued use, the surface becomes less glossy and more matte, creating a naturally lived-in patina.
Care:
If the surface becomes wet or oily, dry immediately with a soft cloth. Do not use detergents, as this may change the finish’s character. If a brighter finish is desired, polished brass can be repolished using a suitable metal polish to restore its sheen and tone.
The products may show small variations and imperfections due to the artisanal processing technique involved in making each of our pieces. Brass and Nickel finishes are intentionally natural and are therefore subject to a slight variation and opacification which gives them the beauty and patina of time. Only a moist fabric has to be used to clean the brass parts.
